Saint-Gobain Submitted Addendum 4 to the Water Supply Well Sampling Program
Saint-Gobain submitted Addendum 4 to the Water Supply Well Sampling Program on September 25, 2020. The Sampling Program is outlined in a Work Plan submitted on behalf of Saint-Gobain by Golder Associates, Inc. (Golder) on September 30, 2019, and in four addenda:
- Addendum 1 dated November 1, 2019.
- Addendum 2 dated December 16, 2019.
- Addendum 3 dated January 6, 2020.
- Addendum 4 dated September 25, 2020.
As of September 29, 2020, over 1,200 properties have been identified for sampling by Golder in the Work Plan and Addenda, including the 347 properties listed in Addendum 4.
NHDES recognizes that a significant number of samples will be needed to fully delineate the extent of groundwater contamination above Ambient Groundwater Quality Standards (AGQS) and that sampling will need to be prioritized based on risk and ongoing evaluation of incoming data. Saint-Gobain has committed to providing short term alternate water, in the form of delivered bottled water, to property owners with wells that exceed AGQS and will be exploring permanent alternate water solutions (such as extension of public water or in-home treatment systems) as the extent of AGQS exceedances is further identified.
